International Making Cities Livable Award 2015

'Selected for Exhibition' Award presented to Wellesley, Aldershot

At the International Making Cities Livable conference in July the awards for 'Designing for Green, Healthy Cities' were presented. The urban extension at Wellesley, Aldershot was presented with a 'Selected for Exhibition' award.

Wellesley is a new urban extension to Aldershot including the redevelopment of the old army barracks. The masterplan by Robert Adam for the redevelopment of the 166 hectares site will transform the old barracks into a new district of the town. The mixed use plan will provide up to 3,850 new homes, retail units, schools, plus community and commercial buildings.
