Just who is the greatest living British architect? Lords Rogers and Foster, Sir Michael Hopkins, Sir Nicholas Grimshaw and Sir Terry Farrell, who have all transformed skylines around the world, performing gymnastics with buildigs, playing with shapes and materials, must be in the running. But if you want to build a huge country house, the likelihood is you wouldn't go to any of them. You would pick up the phone and dial Robert Adam.
