Award win for the new Pavilion portico at The Oval
We are very pleased to announce that at the CNU (Congress for the New Urbanism) Charter Award ceremony in Dallas Texas, USA, the new Pavilion portico at The Oval, designed by Hugh Petter, received a Merit award . The CNU Charter Awards recognises exemplary work in architectural, landscape, urban, and regional design, as defined by the Charter of the New Urbanism. The Charter defines the essential qualities of walkable, sustainable places from the scale of the region down to the block and building.
Director Robert Adam attended the ceremony in Dallas Texas to collect the award. The 2015 Charter Award winners were unveiled as part of CNU’s 23rd annual Congress, a four-day international conference exploring walkable neighbourhood development and sustainable cities. Among the eleven winners and ten runners-up only two UK projects were recognised.
