Professor Robert Adam is renowned as a major figure in the development of traditional and classical architecture, a pioneer of contextual urban design, a designer of furniture, an author and a scholar. Robert works with clients on a diverse range of projects including major private houses, extensions to historic buildings as well as public and commercial schemes. In 2017 he was awarded the Richard H. Driehaus Prize, recognising a lifetime of contribution to traditional, classical and sustainable architecture and urbanism.
Robert Adam’s furniture is inspired by classical furniture of the past, sometimes quite literally and sometimes with a modern twist. Pieces are made to order by Luke Hughes & Company using traditional methods and incorporating customers’ specific requirement for fabric, different wood or surfaces. All furniture is signed and dated. Prices are available on request.
