Field Farm
Shepton Mallet, Somerset

The masterplan provides 550 houses and apartments with a housing mix selected to cater for local needs, on a 17 hectare site owned by the Vagg family and the Prince of Wales’s Estate, the Duchy of Cornwall. Other elements include the original farmhouse and associated park land, a new school, local shop, a village green and an old chapel, relocated to the site to act as a community building. The design was developed according to traditional principles and has the character of a distinct village within the larger community of Shepton Mallet.
