A new pavilion built in Bath stone facing the gardens of a Palladian country house. The design follows the Doric order used on the house itself, but adapts the order to be more Mannerist in detail. At the base of the pavilion is a plain stone bench facing the lawn. The two columns are punctuated by split-faced stone blocks to give the pavilion a rusticated character. Above is a Doric entablature with uncut triglyphs, and below the pediment is a date stone recording the year of completion.
