Restoration of Grade II Listed Cottage
Hampshire

A Grade II Listed cottage in Hampshire has been carefully restored, new buildings added and outbuildings converted to a habitable dwelling. The renovation to the cottage restored and reinstated many of the original features, such as casement windows, slate roof, cast iron gutters and downpipes. A more appropriate and ‘breathable’ surface covering to the walls was used, in agreement with the Local Authority Conservation department. A new single-storey building to the south west side replaced unsightly utilitarian buildings. The two-storey addition is in character and sympathetic scale to the existing east wing. An adjacent Listed Kennel building has been carefully restored and also converted to accommodation.
