ADAM Architecture were commissioned to design a replacement extension and to complete additional alterations to this Grade II Listed Georgian House in Hampshire. The works included the removal of an early 20th century bathroom extension as well as an unsympathetic conservatory added in the 1980’s and 90’s. It was proposed that these be replaced by a new kitchen and breakfast room on the ground floor, together with new ensuite bathrooms at first floor, designed to be more subservient in scale and in keeping with the character of the original house. Other interior alterations helped consolidate the replacement extension and better adapt the internal layout of the house into a modern family home.
