Robert Adam is renowned as a major figure in the development of traditional and classical architecture, a pioneer of contextual urban design, an author and a scholar. Robert’s portfolio of work includes major private houses, extensions to historic buildings as well as public and commercial schemes. In 2017 he was awarded the Richard H. Dreihaus Prize, recognising a lifetime of contribution to traditional, classical and sustainable architecture and urbanism. After 44 years with the firm, Robert stepped down as a Director in 2020 in order to pursue his own independent and academic interests. He is now an independent consultant, continuing to work closely with ADAM Architecture.
