Ian Lawrence, Director of Technical Design

Ian has been with the practice since 2004, bringing over two decades of expertise to his role as director of technical design. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered a diverse portfolio of prime residential schemes, country houses, rural estates and listed building refurbishments.

With experience spanning all project stages, Ian has developed a particular specialism in coordinating and managing the design and technical complexities particular to classical and traditional architecture. His meticulous approach ensures that design intent is carried through seamlessly from concept to completion, maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and detail.

Ian works in close partnership with some of the UK's leading consultants, craftspeople and designers, fostering collaborative relationships that bring ambitious visions to life.

Beyond project delivery, Ian plays a key role in mentoring the technical team and advancing the practice's design and detailing standards.

Ian is a member of the RIBA Traditional Architecture Group, holds MCIAT chartered status, and is an active member of an influential UK technical steering group.
