Darren Price, Partner

BA (Hons), DIPL ARCH, RIBA, ARB

Darren Price belongs to a new generation of classical architects redefining what tradition means today. His architecture brings a contemporary vitality to classicism with buildings and spaces that are personal while being innovative, sustainable and enduring.

His work is recognised not only for its technical precision but also for its clear narrative. He prioritises how buildings are experienced and shaped by light, movement, materiality and the rituals of everyday life.

Darren is experienced in the adaptation and extension of homes of all scales, from grand country houses and estates to the Victorian and Edwardian housing stock familiar to many British cities. He recognises that historic houses are living buildings which can thrive for generations if treated with respect and a thorough understanding and appreciation of their past. Darren is also skilled at designing buildings that feel grounded, immersive and enduring with spaces that invite connection, belonging and a lasting emotional resonance.

An increasingly influential voice in discussions on the future of classical design, Darren is passionate about the merits of collaboration and the importance of architectural authenticity. His contribution to London’s WOW!house 2025 confirmed him as a designer who bridges classical heritage with contemporary culture.

Darren studied at Birmingham City University and Kingston University in London. He joined ADAM Architecture in 2010 and became a partner in 2021. He is a member of the Georgian Group, the Lutyens Trust, the IHBC, SPAB, the Churches Conservation Trust and TAG at the RIBA, as well as a Fellow of the RSA and a Friend of Friendless Churches.
