Church View, Kent
New houses for a market town
A masterplan and 200 new homes for the market town of Tenterden, designed to enhance the townscape and links to the surrounding countryside.
Designs for Church View were guided by the views of local residents and were developed through public design workshops. The layout of new streets, lanes and green spaces responds to the historic pattern of the town, while views of the church are framed and the visual impact of two large supermarkets on the southern side of Tenterden mitigated.
The new homes are designed in a variety of sizes and architectural styles and materials to reflect the local character.
