Reinstatement of a Grade II-listed house

Overlooking the River Meon, this Grade II-listed house was extended in the late 19th century. ADAM Architecture managed an extensive, decade-long programme of work, prioritising the repair and reinstatement of the house to its Georgian glory.

Work included the restoration of the main building and the 19th century coach house, including the reinstatement of the original glazing and cornice. Some of the Victorian alterations were removed and a set of small rooms were transformed into one open plan room to better align with its original form and the requirements of contemporary life.
