Grade II* Manor, Hampshire

This project involved the restoration of a Grade II*-listed house set within one of Hampshire’s oldest manors. The Elizabethan manor house was comprehensively remodelled in the early 18th century to give the appearance of a classical house.

Central to the project was the replacement of an Edwardian billiard room with a dining room with a new façade built in Portland stone articulated by pilaster strips with incised decoration. The interior of the new dining room is top-lit by an octagonal lantern supported by a shallow pendentive dome, with thin strips of amber-coloured glass adding to the Regency character of the room.
